The day is free of charge to schools and is aimed mainly at Year 3 and Year 4 pupils. Any first school from Northumberland and North Tyneside is eligible to apply for places. The event is specifically planned by the Glendale Agricultural Society to give children of all abilities aged between 5 and 9 years, an insight into rural life. The event is organised by a very small but enthusiastic committee of volunteers from Glendale Agricultural Society who are passionate about delivering this excellent event to the school children of Northumberland and North Tyneside. The exhibitors are a cross-section of local and national businesses, organisations and individuals who also give their time for free and we are assisted on the day by 50 volunteer stewards from the local community. The event could not continue without their time, effort and patience on the day!
