Quizzically Farming
Now a firm fixture in the Wooler social calendar, the Glendale Agricultural Society have announced today that their Members' Quiz Night will be held on 27th January at the Tankerville Arms Hotel at 7.O0 pm. After supper, which is included, Quiz master Ronald Barber will lead the teams through a challenging series of questions, pictures and sounds! Teams of four at a cost of £7.50 per person are invited to register their entry in advance with the show office.
The Glendale Agricultural Society has over 300 members, who support the society and its work in producing the annual ‘Glendale Agricultural Show’. The Quiz Night has become one of the most popular events in the society's year testing members on their general knowledge along with a highly entertaining round dedicated to farming and the countryside where the stakes for a wrong answer are particularly high!
Society Chairman, Tom Comber adds: “The aim of this evening is not just to challenge and test people’s knowledge but to have an enjoyable evening with our families and friends. So as always we hope that people will put on their thinking caps and come along. ".
